Ceramic Lagging is essential to improve conveyor belt performance.
It is especially suited for pulleys where spillage and excessive wear and tear problems make normal rubber lagging ineffective. The alumina ceramic tiles help in the proper grip of the belt under wet, muddy, or any other such arduous conditions

Rubber Lagging is A blend of natural rubber and synthetic rubbers with high elasticity and excellent abrasion resistance.
Rubber Pulley lagging can reduce conveyor belt slippage and extend the service life of the conveyor belt.

Replaceable Slide-lag Weld-On Conveyor Pulley Lagging:

weld-on Pulley Lagging includes two parts: a dimpled lagging sheet and a metal retainer. The retainer is welded on the pulley to clamp the dimpled lagging sheet.
The dimpled lagging sheet is made of wear-resistant rubber and steel backing plate by hot vulcanization.

How To Install The Pulley?

Check pulley slots to make sure there are no scars or sharp edges and all dimensions are up to standard;

Clean surfaces of all components, such as hub holes, cone sleeves, bolt holes, etc. Fit the cone into the pulley so that all screw holes are aligned.

Grease the screws and threads and screw into the mounting holes, but do not tighten them for now.

Clean the surface of the drive shaft, push the tapered pulley to the predetermined position on the shaft, and check whether the V-shaped pulley is aligned.

When the keyway is used, it must be inserted into the shaft hub first, and there must be a certain tolerance between the keyway and the hole hub.

Using a din911 standard Allen wrench, alternately, gradually, and evenly tighten the bolts in each mounting hole until the torque shown in the table below is achieved.

After a short period of operation (0.5 to 1 hour), check the bolt tightening torque, and tighten the bolts if necessary.
Fill the joint of the hole with grease to prevent foreign matter from entering.

Types of Conveyor Pulley:

The drum is the main component that transmits power. It is divided into three types according to their load-carrying capacity: light, medium and heavy.
Light: Bearing aperture 80-100mm, the shaft and hub are single-width plate welded cylinder structure connected by single key.
Medium: Bearing aperture 120-180mm, the shaft and hub are expansion sleeve connection
Heavy: Bearing aperture 200-220mm, the shaft and hub are expansion sleeve connection, and the drum body is cast-welded structure.

Conveyor pulley stays at two ends of belt machine. The pulley can be divided into two categories: Driving pulley and averting pulley, driving pulley is the main part for transmitting the power and there are two kinds of pulley sets: Smooth surface and rubber surface, and rubber surface can be classified into smooth rubber surface, herringbone rubber surface and diamond rubber surface to meet different technical requirements. Averting pulley can be classified into smooth rubber surface and smooth steel surface.
